Punkt fuer die Pessimisten....

Der Tag musste kommen. Ich kann nicht sagen, dass ich es nicht erwartet habe. Im Mittelalter haette ich auf dem Scheiterhaufen gebrannt….
Heute Morgen haben wir Bjoern angerufen. Er teilte uns mit, dass der Zoll eine komplette Untersuchung unseres Containers angeordnet hat. Das heisst, der Container ist per Schiff in Long Beach angekommen. Er wird auf ein Gelaende des Zolls transportiert. Er wird geoeffnet. Er wird ausgeraeumt und kontrolliert.
Das kostet uns vieeeeel Geld – wir rechnen mit ca. 3000 Dollar- und vieeel Zeit. Keiner weiss, wann unser Container in San Diego eintrifft. Genug Zeit, um geduldig zu sein.
Wir ziehen also in 4 Tagen in unser neues Appartement. Mit uns eine Menge neuer Anschaffungen – Sofa, TV, Lampen usw.
Und wir nehmen unser Vertrauen und unsere Liebe mit. Das reicht!

This day had to come. I can’t say that I didn’t expect this. If I had lived in the Middle-ages, I would have burnt at the stake…
We called Bjoern this morning. He told us, that the Customs make a complete inspection of our container. That means our container arrived in Long Beach by ship on Tuesday. They transport it to a certified Customs terrain. They open it. They put all the household out and inspect it.
It will cost us a lot of money – we estimate about 3,000.00 Dollars – and a lot of time. Nobody knows when our container will arrive in San Diego.
Plenty time enough to be patient. We are going to move in our new apartment in 4 days. We will take a lot of new purchases with us – sofa-combination, TV, lamps and so on. And we take our trust and love with us. That does it!
